Occupied Palestine (QNN)- Sada Social Center said it documented over 500 violations against Palestinian digital content in November, adding these violations were distributed among the majority of global social media platforms.
In its monthly report, Sada Social Center said it documented more than 500 digital violations on various social media platforms. Meta’s targeting of Palestinian content is still at the forefront, with 57% of the violations, followed by TikTok at 23%, X at 7%, and YouTube at 13%.
Additionally, 30 WhatsApp accounts belonging to Palestinians were removed, including two news groups and one local group in Jenin, in addition to digital policies that suppress Palestinian voices and limit their reach to audiences.
In another context, a digital blackout persisted in northern Gaza due to a prolonged internet outage, severely hindering residents’ ability to communicate and report events amid Israeli assaults and military siege. This disruption further exacerbated their suffering, especially as the Israeli occupation continued to block rescue teams from operating and saving victims.
Meanwhile, the signing of the ceasefire agreement in Lebanon coincided with an escalation in Israeli incitement against Lebanese people, with threats of launching a fourth war on Lebanon and displacing residents from its south.
This was accompanied by widespread calls within the Israeli occupation to protest against the agreement and calls for continued bombardment and aggression against Lebanon.
Sada Social condemns these violations and incitement speeches, which promote hatred and lead to further aggression against Palestinians, Lebanese, and their supporters worldwide.
The platform calls on digital platforms, especially X, to take responsibility for addressing inciting content and urges stakeholders to take serious steps to curb policies that exacerbate humanitarian and political crises.
It is noteworthy that Sada Social Center is a Palestinian digital rights organization launched in 2017 to protect Palestinian narratives on social media platforms.
In 2020 only, the Center documented 1200 violations against Palestinian content, including 25 on Instagram, 10 on YouTube, 801 on Facebook, and 276 on Twitter.
However, in 2021, it documented 1593 violations against Palestinian content, including 174 on Instagram, 16 on YouTube, 853 on Facebook, and 445 on Twitter.
In 2022, Sada Social Center documented 1230 violations against Palestinian content, including 805 on Facebook, 165 on Instagram, 96 on WhatsApp, 52 on TikTok, 26 on YouTube, 68 on Twitter, 1 on SoundCloud, 11 on Clubhouse and 6 on Telegram.
