Premier calls for an end to genocide in Gaza and
ethnic cleansing in the West Bank

NEW YORK, September 27, 2024 (WAFA) – Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammed Mustafa has emphasized the urgent need for the international community to intervene to stop the ongoing Israeli genocide in Gaza, the ethnic cleansing in the occupied West Bank, including East Jerusalem, and the aggression on Lebanon,

In his address at the Ministerial Meeting on the Situation in Gaza and the Implementation of the Two-State Solution, held in New York, Mustafa stated, “Everyone must work to stop the aggression and genocide, lift the horrific siege on Gaza, recognize the State of Palestine, and support its UN membership.”

He called for the implementation of the International Court of Justice’s advisory opinion and relevant UN resolutions, including the General Assembly’s recent decision, which outlines specific commitments and collective mechanisms to support the Palestinian cause.

Mustafa noted the importance of providing political, financial, and economic support to execute the government’s national plan, “Building Palestine,” particularly to assist the people of Gaza.

He stressed, “We want to end the suffering of our people and unleash their true potential,” indicating that the upcoming international conference during the 79th session of the General Assembly should culminate in these efforts.

The Prime Minister underscored that the rights of the Palestinian people, including the right to self-determination, return, life, freedom, and dignity, must be respected.

Mustafa has held over 40 meetings with heads of state, foreign ministers, and officials on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly, aimed at garnering support for the Palestinian cause, halting the genocide against the Palestinian people, and securing full UN membership for Palestine, while seeking further international recognition of the State of Palestine.
