LA PAZ, September 20, 2024 (WAFA) – The Bolivian Ministry of Foreign Affairs welcomed on Friday the UN General Assembly’s (UNGA) draft resolution, which formally called for an end to Israel’s illegal presence in the occupied Palestinian territories.

The ministry voiced deep concern over the massacres committed by Israeli occupation forces, stressing that these acts represent a grave violation of human rights and international humanitarian law.

Bolivia reaffirmed its steadfast support for the Palestinian people’s legitimate right to self-determination and the establishment of an independent, sovereign state, with East Jerusalem as its capital.

The ministry called for an immediate and urgent end to these attacks and for a peaceful and lasting solution to the conflict based on respect for international law and UN resolutions.

It reaffirmed Bolivia’s unwavering commitment to peace and justice, and its continued defense of the inalienable rights of the Palestinian people and the end of the occupation.
