Jewish pro-Palestine demonstrators occupied the Cannon House Office Building on Capitol Hill in Washington on Tuesday, calling for an end to arms sales and a ceasefire in Gaza.

The protest comes a day before the Israeli prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, is due to address a joint session of Congress. Police were seen arresting the protesters and pulling them out of the rotunda of the building.
