The Israeli occupation’s planes have destroyed 38 factories that manufacture ready-mixed concrete in the Gaza Strip, obliterating their contents and leaving their owners unable to restore them. Occupation soldiers used bulldozers and then set fire to the facilities.

Speaking to Quds Press, one of the owners of the concrete companies said: “Every item of equipment represents a challenge for us. We previously faced challenges from Israel in the process of introducing the necessary inputs to establish these factories, and the response process was very slow.”

“Our estimates indicate that the cost of establishing one factory ranges between $1-3 million, depending on the operational capacity to generate quantities of concrete, in addition to the costs related to purchasing the equipment for the factory,” he added.

Each factory previously employed more than 100 workers and technicians, and their destruction has left thousands of Palestinians without the income they relied on to survive.
