Recent reports from Gaza describe a devastating humanitarian crisis. According to CNN, hospitals are running out of anesthesia, forcing doctors to amputate limbs without pain relief. Patients on life support are suffocating due to lack of sedation.
These conditions are the result of continuous Israeli bombardment, which has disproportionately affected civilians—including women and children. Under international law, the targeting of non-combatants is a war crime. The global community has condemned such actions in other conflicts, yet Israel continues to receive US military aid and diplomatic cover.
If the US itself carried out such relentless bombing campaigns, the outcry would be deafening. So why does the US remain Israel’s staunchest supporter? Is our government willing to turn a blind eye, even as our tax dollars fund these actions?
It’s time to demand accountability. Contact your representatives. Urge them to end unconditional aid to Israel. Speak out for the innocent lives caught in the crossfire.
