Gaza (Quds News Network)- In a recent statement, Sami Abu Zuhri, a prominent leader of Hamas resistance movement, expressed the organization’s openness to discussing any agreement that ensures a permanent ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and the complete withdrawal of Israeli forces. Abu Zuhri highlighted Hamas’s willingness to engage with mediators regarding new proposals for a ceasefire agreement, confirming that further meetings are planned to facilitate this dialogue.

Abu Zuhri emphasized that the Hamas delegation has reiterated its readiness to consider measures that would halt the genocide, withdraw Israeli forces, lift the blockade, allow humanitarian aid into the region, and facilitate a genuine prisoner exchange.

Abu Zuhri also called for an immediate end to normalization with Israel by countries that have established ties with the occupation state. He noted, “It is unreasonable for many foreign nations to take such steps while some Arab countries insist on maintaining relations and normalization with the enemy.”

He condemned the recent vote in the Israeli Knesset to prohibit the operations of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) in the occupied territories as an extension of the Zionist war against the Palestinian people, their land, rights, and national cause. Abu Zuhri deemed this action a blatant violation of international law that warrants the expulsion of Israel from the United Nations and the imposition of sanctions against it.

Additionally, he criticized Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich’s inflammatory remarks advocating for the expansion of settlements and the displacement of Palestinians amidst the ongoing genocide in Gaza, characterizing these statements as a continuation of the aggressive policies of the Israeli government.

Abu Zuhri called on all nations to reject such rhetoric and take action to halt Israel’s crimes against the Palestinian people, their land, and holy sites. He urged Arab and Islamic forces to join in this struggle against the occupation to demonstrate that Palestinians and Lebanese are not alone in their fight.

Concluding his statement, Abu Zuhri reiterated the call for protests in every public square and the besieging of Israeli embassies and those of supporting countries globally. He affirmed that “the Palestinian people will remain steadfast in their land and sacred sites, no matter the sacrifices.”
