With the assassination of senior Hamas leader Saleh Al Arouri raising fears of the Israel-Hamas war spreading beyond Gaza and consuming parts of Lebanon, reports suggested that Israel had kept its biggest ally USA in the dark about the plan to kill Arouri.

The report emerged amid lack of confirmation from Israeli authorities about their alleged role in the incident, even as Hamas and its ally Hezbollah blamed Tel Aviv.

Meanwhile, a parliamentarian from Netanyahu’s party revealed who was behind the operation with a “congratulatory” post on social media platform X (formerly Twitter). Watch the full video for more.
