DESCRIPTION:\nAmerican Muslims for Palestine (AMP) invites you all to spend your upcoming Thanksgiving weekend advocating, mobilizing, and learning more about Palestine at our 17th Annual Convention for Palestine in the U.S. from November 28th to 30th, 2024, at the Tinley Park Convention Center near Chicago, IL.\nThis year’s Palestine Convention entitled “Gaza: Outlasting Genocide,” will act as a testament to the steadfastness of the Palestinians in Gaza, and their determination to live in the midst of death and destruction. The convention will demonstrate our commitment as American citizens to amplify their voices and plight, and our determination to end the U.S.’s complicity in this genocide.\nOutlasting Genocide is a theme centering Gaza and its people. While we may feel exhausted and overwhelmed with our activism in the United States, our struggle to achieve Palestinian rights has never wavered; in fact, it has strengthened.\nTo witness the first live-streamed genocide in the history of the world in a country that is directly complicit in the crimes committed has inspired a new generation of activists that will work tirelessly to correct the system from within and help expedite the Palestinian quest for freedom, justice, and equality.\nThis year, we are also proud to introduce the 1st Palestine Retreat: Education to Action, a NEW one-day pre-convention event on Thursday, November 28th. For those interested in learning the historical trajectory that led us to this moment, and the actions needed to further the cause of justice and liberation for Palestinians, this retreat is for you!\nThrough our advocacy work, educational programs, and grassroots campaigns here in the United States, we are gaining momentum and the tide is shifting in support of Palestinian human rights. While Palestinians in Gaza outlast the genocide perpetrated against them with US tax dollars and weapons, we must and will outlast the backlash against our work for justice and liberation in Palestine.\nOur Palestine Convention promises an array of sessions and activities carefully crafted for all of your family members and friends, taking into consideration all the hardships, challenges, and pain that the Palestinian people are experiencing. Join us in this noble effort and stay tuned for more news and updates soon!\n
